CLARKSVILLE, TN – A Props For a Purpose aircraft landed at Destin Executive Airport on Sunday at 11:20 a.m. with 1,132 pounds of relief supplies for communities hit by Hurricane Isaias, about 39 hours after the storm came ashore. It was the nonprofit’s first disaster relief mission flown with an aircraft of its own.
The twin-engine Tecnam P2012 Traveller, named Servant One, left Clarksville Regional Airport at 9:02 a.m. Central, flown by founder and CEO Jacob Bealle with pilot Bryson Bryant. Aboard were chainsaws, hand tools, protective gear, first aid supplies, drinks and a 5,600-watt generator. The supplies were handed over in Destin, and the aircraft was back in Clarksville at 3:31 p.m.
Isaias came ashore near Destin on Friday evening, October 9, with winds of 105 mph, leaving hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses across the Florida Panhandle, Alabama and Georgia without power.
The flight was the work of four nonprofits. YAIPAK, a Clarksville-based outreach organization, provided every item on the aircraft. Beacon Rescue, a crisis response nonprofit, located a team on the ground that needed the supplies. Fill the Needs, which works in disaster areas during the first two weeks after a storm, received the supplies in Destin and is distributing them. Atlantic Aviation helped coordinate receiving the supplies in Destin.
“Two years ago this month, our volunteer pilots flew Helene relief out of Nashville in their own airplanes. This weekend we flew our own aircraft into a disaster for the first time. What has not changed is that none of it works alone. Every organization on this mission did the part it is best at,” said Tyler Mosley, Chief of Disaster Relief for Props For A Purpose.
In October 2024, Props For A Purpose coordinated volunteer pilots who flew their own aircraft from John C. Tune Airport in Nashville to deliver relief to North Carolina and East Tennessee after Hurricane Helene.
Servant One joined the organization in September 2026 under a long-term lease. “The Traveller allows us to respond faster, carry more, and support our partners in ways we simply could not before,” Bealle said at its delivery.
