NASHVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Tennessee legislator has proposed a bill that would end the practice of Daylight Saving Time in the state.

Representative Rick Tillis is filing a bill to get rid of the time change. He told News 2 that he hears from constituents daily about doing away with Daylight Saving Time.

Similar bills have been proposed before, but Tillis said he is confident the bill will pass the House and feels strongly it could make it through the Senate this year.

Hawaii, American Samoa, Guam, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and most of Arizona don’t observe Daylight Saving Time.
