CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Project Yesu will celebrate Orphan Sunday on November 2 by hosting their 3rd Annual Orphan Luncheon.
The luncheon will be held at the Belle Hollow event venue located inside of Miss. Lucille’s Marketplace at 2231 Madison Street in Clarksville.
The event is intended to raise awareness for orphans and vulnerable children worldwide. The group hopes to reach anyone who has been adopted, has adopted, or is considering adoption. Representatives from adoption agencies and guest speakers sharing their stories of adoption will be present.
Three musical guests will also perform at this year’s luncheon. The local Brio String Quartet will be present, featuring five talented members of the Compton family, including Curtis (Age13, viola), Mitchell (Age 8, violin), Alyssa (Age 11, violin), Tommy (Age 11, violin), and Trevor (Age 16, cello).
Mike Grayson, lead singer for Contemporary Christian Band MIKESCHAIR will perform “People Like Me” and “Let the Waters Rise.” City Harbor Contemporary Christian/Pop-Rock duo will perform “Somebody Tell Them” and “Come However You Are.”
Door prizes and silent auction items will include signed items by the Tennessee Titans, hand crafted jewelry, local restaurants like “Chik-Fil-A” for a year and Berry Bear, autographed items by several Christian artists and more. An orphans meal will also be served.
Tickets purchased in advance are $15 for adults and free for children age 9 and under. Tickets will be $20 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online here.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Project Yesu’s work in Uganda.
