CLARKSVILLE, TN – Project Transformation is gearing up for another summer of fun, literacy and community engagement with this year’s theme of “Up, Up and Away!” PT interns have been running the summer enrichment program in Clarksville since 2017. Forest Street United Methodist is graciously playing host to the program once again, June 2-July 23.

The faith-based program focuses on encouraging literacy and social-emotional health in the children participating. It also seeks to build community by bringing together the programs 3 C’s: children, college age young adults (the interns), and churches (who host or volunteer).

At Project Transformation, a highlight of each day is when each child gets to work one-on-one with a volunteer reading buddy. Themed Family Fun nights are always a hit as well! Children going into grades 1-8 are welcome to participate, with 98% percent of kids maintaining or improving their reading level over the summer. To register your child(ren) visit: https://projecttransformation.org/tennessee/summer-participant-registration. There is a small registration fee, and scholarships are available.
