CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Project Transformation Tennessee is extending its outreach to the Clarksville community by hosting a summer day camp downtown at Forest Street United Methodist Church, 416 Church Street.

Every Monday through Thursday from June 3 t0 July 25, Project Transformation will operate their camp serving rising first graders to eighth graders. Programs are held at churches located in under-resourced neighborhoods, helping those churches connect in meaningful ways with their communities, according to Project Transformation.

Daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  participants can enjoy a complimentary breakfast and lunch alongside engaging activities involving art, recreation, music, and reading.

Children will read one-on-one with community volunteers and participate in activity based literacy intervention. Children will also participate in daily enrichment activities including recreational play and exercise, creative arts, and interaction with college-age interns and community volunteers.

Now through May 17, PT is offering a one time activity fee discount of $10 per child with a maximum of $25 per family. To register, visit Project Transformation online or contact United Methodist Church at 931-645-9587 for more information.
