Programs are free unless noted otherwise. All programs require reservations BY THE DEADLINE LISTED.
Programs with no reservations by the deadline will be canceled.
All programs begin at the Visitor Center unless another site is listed.
Children must be accompanied by an adult (one adult for each three children).
Age limits are definite – please do not sign up a child who is younger or older than the age limits given.

PORT ROYAL HISTORY WALK
Ages 5- adult
Join us for a walk around Port Royal Historic Area to learn what it was like in the past. Meet at the upper parking lot (beside the Visitor Center).

LAKE LIFE

What lives in the lake? We’ll walk around the easy Lake Trail and learn about aquatic plants and animals like turtles, frogs and beavers.

FISH, INSECTS AND FRESHWATER MUSSELS OF THE RED RIVER
Have you ever wondered what really lives down there under the water? Come join us at Port Royal State Park near Adams, TN and I bet I can show you fish, mussels and insects that you have never seen before. Please wear closed toe shoes and clothing that can get wet (or waders). Children under the age of 13 should be accompanied by an adult. Meet at Port Royal State Park visitor’s center.

NATURE BOOT CAMP
Ages 12 and up
Want to learn different ways to use nature as a gym? Let us show you how to use things found on the park as gym equipment and train to use the human body how nature intended. Please sign up as only 16 people will be admitted per class.

Did you know that Native American Indians lived at the cave entrance? Have you ever wondered why we have a dance floor and bandstand at the cave? Why is it called Dunbar Cave Natural Area?? Learn about the Natural Area, past and present, with this indoor presentation.
