NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Travelers can expect delays on Nashville roads and the airport area as President Barack Obama returns to Nashville Wednesday.

Shannon Sumrall, spokesperson for Nashville International Airport, told WKRN News 2 flights will be grounded as Air Force One lands and takes off. The delays should be minor, as short as five to 10 minutes.

The president’s motorcade will require road closures between the airport and Taylor Stratton Elementary School in Madison between the noon hour and mid-afternoon. The exact closures won’t be announced to the public.

The president plans to discuss how the nation can continue to build on progress made under the Affordable Care Act, which has helped more than 16 million Americans gain health insurance.
