WASHINGTON (CLARKSVILLENOW) – President Donald Trump has put to rest speculation that he has recordings of his conversations with fired FBI Director James Comey.
In two separate tweets Thursday morning, Trump stated “I didn’t make, and do not have any such recordings.”
…whether there are "tapes" or recordings of my conversations with James Comey, but I did not make, and do not have, any such recordings.

The issue was raised by Trump himself when he tweeted about the possibility of tapes following Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee.
In sworn testimony, Comey said he believed he was fired by President Trump over the Russia investigation and that other arguments by the White House were “lies, plain and simple.”
