CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Clarksville boys basketball hosted West Creek on Monday in the District 10-AAA quarterfinals.
The Coyotes were unable to keep pace with the No. 2-seeded Wildcats, falling 70-46 in their final game of the season.
After taking a 15-9 lead after one quarter of play, CHS then jumped out to an 11-2 run to start the second quarter and never looked back.
JJ Wheat finished with a a game-high 26 points followed by Jaheim McDonald with 12 points and Charles Freeman with 10 points for the Wildcats.
Keith Pace scored 21 points while Jameel Mann had 16 points for the Coyotes.
Clarksville gets its rival Rossview up next at home Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m. with the winner advancing to the District 10-AAA championship game.

Clarksville girls basketball protected their home floor Friday, recording a 61-23 victory over Springfield.
Senior Sydney Weatherford led the Lady Wildcats with 14 points while freshman Imari Berry added 11 points.
Clarksville will host rival Rossview Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 5:30 p.m. in the district semifinals.
Hawks get over hump against Knights in major way
Rossview boys basketball dropped two games to Kenwood during the 2020-21 regular season. On Monday, the Hawks avenged those previous losses to the Knights while earning a 59-45 win.
The Hawks were led by Tim Williams Jr. with 19 points while Spencer Mimms added 14 points and Eli Colvin scored 12 points.
Jaylen Washington recorded 19 points while Kemari McIntosh added 14 points for the Knights.
Rossview hits the road to take on rival Clarksville Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m., needing a win to play for the district title on Wednesday.
Kenwood’s young nucleus now turns its attention to the offseason.
Rossview girls defeat Kenwood in dominant fashion
Rossview girls basketball made quick work of Kenwood Monday, downing the Lady Knights 67-26.
Sydney-James Desroches and Aubrey Padgett each finished with 17 points for the Lady Hawks.
Shaleyia Townsend scored 10 points while Shay Vaughn chipped in six points for the Lady Knights.
Up next, Rossview eyes a road match with rival Clarksville Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 5:30 p.m. in the district semifinals.
Northeast boys keep season alive
The defending District 10-AAA champion Northeast Eagles continued their reign Monday at home, picking up a 77-43 win over Springfield.
The Eagles were led by Isaiah Farrior with 21 points, five rebounds and five assists while Jalen Hooks and Jaylan Miller finished with 15 points each.
Northeast travels to take on No.1-seeded Henry County Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 7:30 p.m. with another trip to the district championship on the line.

Northeast girls basketball saw their season come to a close Monday after losing 68-47 at Henry County.
Jocelyn Jenkins scored 12 points for the Lady Eagles.
Northeast will get back a lot of experience next season when they make their return to the hardwood.
Northwest girls breeze past West Creek
No. 1-seeded Northwest girls basketball took care of business Monday at home, capturing a 60-30 win over West Creek.
Ta’Mia Scott finished with 19 points while Kayla Howell and Emiyah Cobb scored 10 points each for the Lady Vikings.
Malaya Woullard had a team-high 12 points followed by Alexis Parkes with 10 points for the Lady Coyotes.
Northwest hosts Henry County Tuesday, Feb. 23, at 5:30 p.m. in the district semifinals.
West Creek will look to carry over its strong finish to the season in 2021-22.
Stellar offense propels Patriots over Vikings
Northwest boys basketball faced off against the No. 1-seeded Henry County Patriots Monday on the road.
Henry County’s offensive firepower proved to be too much for Northwest to handle, as the Patriots won by a final score of 90-74.

Northwest boys basketball defeated Montgomery Central 76-42 Sunday at home in the District 10-AAA tournament play-in game.
Viking senior Ametri Moss poured in 50 points, setting a new school record for the most points scored by one player in a single game.
Lady Coyotes move past Lady Indians
West Creek girls basketball took down Montgomery Central 53-42 Sunday at home to advance to the District 10-AAA quarterfinals.

Lady Lions upset Lady Cougars in region quarterfinals
Clarksville Academy girls basketball saw their season come to an end Saturday at home against CPA in the Division II-A Middle Region tournament. The Lady Lions roared out of the gates offensively with 33 first-half points en route to an eventual 61-43 win.
Diamond Bryant scored a game-high 19 points followed by Atyia Moss with nine points for the Lady Cougars.
Sadie Gorley and Emmaline Bartless finished with 14 points each for CPA.
Clarksville Academy wraps up the 2020-21 season with a 22-6 overall record.
