CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Premier Medical Group welcomes Clarksvillian Benita Martin as Director of Communications.

In the newly created role, she is charged with leading the company’s communications, marketing and patient experience improvement strategies.

Martin holds a Master of Journalism degree from Louisiana State University and Bachelor of Arts degree from Murray State University. Her professional experience includes retail, banking and 27 years of healthcare marketing and public relations.

Premier Chief Administrator Lloyd Matson said, “Benita brings us a new, fresh perspective to patient service and quality. She rounds out our Leadership Team and will ensure that our messaging is consistent with the Premier philosophy to ever improve the health of our patients and our service to them and our community.”

Dr. Mike Carrigan, Co- Chief Administrator, added, “We’re very happy to have Benita on board to tell our story and strengthen our brand. Her marketing leadership will play an integral part in our growth. Additionally, she is well-versed in employee customer service training and enhancing the customer/patient experience.”

Martin served as the Montgomery County Chairman for the Tennessee Bicentennial Celebration and is a Leadership Clarksville graduate. She has led employee teams raising funds for the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association and March of Dimes. She enjoys reading, exercise, travel and volunteering to benefit homeless animals.
