NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – The Nashville Predators will open their season at home against the Chicago Blackhawks Friday night.

Preds fans can’t wait to see newly-acquired defenseman P.K. Subban play his first game for Nashville.

Subban admitted to News 2 he is excited to play for his new team.

“I think everybody is anxious not just myself. Obviously, its a new team for me and fresh start, but it doesn’t feel any different,” he said. “It feels like we’re playing hockey again. I’m just excited to get into a regular season game.”

The puck drops at 7 p.m. at Bridgestone Arena, but the fun starts before. Food trucks will be outside genning at 12 p.m. before the players are escorted into the arena on a gold carpet at 4 p.m.

Free music starts on the arena concourse at 5 p.m.
