NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In their final home preseason game the Predators came up short, losing to Columbus 5-2.
WKRN News 2 reports that Austin Watson scored the game’s opening goal to give the Predators a 1-0 lead but the Blue Jackets answered with 5 straight goals to take total control.
New guy Barrett Jackman added a consolation goal in the final period but the Preds took their first regulation loss of the preseason.
The Preds have one final preseason game in Columbus on Saturday before opening the season at Bridgestone October 8.
