ADAMS, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Possumstock, which is Clarksville’s homegrown music festival, is less than one month away and coming to a new location at Red River Canoe.
The music festival is made up of a variety of Clarksville and Nashville bands, and there will also be local vendors and artists on site, according to Cody Parson, the founder and manager of the festival.
Possumstock 2023 is scheduled to kick off on Friday, Sept. 15 in Adams. Music will be played throughout the weekend until noon on Sunday, Sept. 17.
“Possumstock for a number of years has been my main source of trying to support and cultivate the local music community,” Parson told Clarksville Now. “I’m confidently reminded every year that it means a lot to this town and a lot to this scene. I’m blessed to continue to try to cultivate something that hopefully has a lot of meaning and integrity to our community.”
Attendees will be checked in at the front gate at Red River Canoe, with controlled parking. Camping spots are first-come, first-served. “You may want to show up before the music starts in order to get a good spot. We encourage carpooling when and if possible,” organizers said.
Food vendors will be on site. You can also bring your own. No glass, please.
