WASHINGTON D.C. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Consumer Safety Commission announced a recall for Porter Cable table saws due to fire hazard.
The recalled product is Porter Cable’s 10′ table saw, produced by Chang Type Industrial Company. The model number for the saw is PCX362010.
Approximately 258,000 saws were sold in Lowe’s Stores nationwide between June 2016 and September 2018 for $100-180.
There have been 61 reports of a table saw’s motor overheating and causing a fire. One buyer reported smoke damage to their home. No injuries have yet been reported.
Consumers are advised to stop using the saw and contact Chang Type at 877-206-7151 for a full refund.
