CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – An informal Clarksville Now poll shows strong support within the community for Montgomery Central’s long-time mascot, which became the topic of debate following the release of opposing, online polls.

When asked, “What do you think of the Montgomery Central High School “Indians” name,” 3,969 people responded.

  • Keep the name as-is: 78.1%
  • It’s time to change it: 16.8%
  • I have no opinion: 5.1%
