CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – As of 9:30 a.m. Sunday, police reported that Brandi Britton is safe.
She contacted Clarksville police following a call for a welfare check.
Clarksville Police are searching for a woman to conduct a welfare check, following a report of a house fire.
According to press release, officers responded to a domestic call Saturday from a caller who reportedly used a stranger’s phone at a gas station to call 911.
The caller stated that her boyfriend set her house on fire and was on foot with a gas can and a lighter. She told police she would be waiting in a black Ford Taurus.
When officers arrived, they saw a man who ran to a black car and fled. Attempts to contact the woman again were unsuccessful.
Officers checked the home on Lilac Drive that she reported had been set on fire but found no sign of fire and no one inside the residence. A stack of mail in the home was addressed to Brandi Britton.
Police determined that Britton was the one that made the 911 call and that she has a black Ford Taurus and are currently attempting to locate her. The vehicle is a 2012 model Taurus with the TN license plate 4F50G5.
Anyone with information on Britton is urged to call 911 so police can ensure that she is safe and unharmed.
Britton is said to be 5’9″, 150 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
