Update, 3 p.m.: Police have taken 37-year-old Marshall Reed, 37, into custody without any issues. Reed has an aggravated assault warrant for a stabbing incident on Dec. 22, and detectives with District 1 Criminal Investigations had been working to locate him.

On Dec. 22, at 5:11 p.m., Reed produced a knife and stabbed a person, according to previous reports. The victim was critically injured.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police have surrounded a house off Dover Road and are negotiating with a suspect inside.

At about 1:35 p.m., Clarksville Police had a perimeter around a home in the 300 block of Chateauroux Drive, and officers were trying to negotiate with someone inside who has an aggravated assault warrant, according to police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

“CPD is asking residents in the immediate area to remain in their homes if possible, and motorists will not be allowed to travel down Chateauroux Drive until the scene can be cleared,” Beaubien said.
