CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A Clarksville man was arrested after a three hour standoff with police at a home on Francesca Dr.
Police said they responded to a shots fired call on the 1300 block Thursday around 7:37 p.m. When officers arrived on scene a man said he went to the house to check on his neighbor because he was displaying ‘erratic behavior’.
He said his neighbor, 44-year-old Joseph Dunn, came to the door, told him to leave, and shot a firearm. The gun was not aimed in the man’s direction but the shot was fired outside of the house.
Surrounding residents were evacuated by police and a safety perimeter was set up. Crisis negotiators were able to convince Dunn to come out of the house without injury or incident around 10:50 p.m.
Dunn was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment. His bond was set at $10,000.
