CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Alcohol Beverage Control Agents, along with Narcotics Agents of the Clarksville Police Department’s Special Operation Unit, seized the entire beer inventory from the Golf Club Food Mart at 2116 Golf Club Lane July 30.
The store had been cited for underage alcohol sales on four different occasions dating back to May 2014, according to a news release.
The Clarksville City Beer Board took action July 28 for the most recent violation (June 30) by suspending the store’s beer permit for six months.
On July 30, agents checked the business again and found that the store was selling beer to customers without a permit. Agents seized over $35,000 worth of beer. Criminal charges are pending.
