CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery at the Marathon gas station located at 601 N. Riverside Drive.
On the evening of Dec. 9, the suspect entered the Marathon, pointed a firearm at the clerk and demanded cash from the register, according to CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien. After stealing several packs of Newport cigarettes, he fled the gas station on foot toward North Second Street. At approximately 10:51 p.m., police responded to the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5-foot-6 with blue eyes, according to Beaubien. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing dark clothing, a dark-colored face mask, red gloves and a white hoodie. Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect and believe someone may recognize the suspect based on his clothing.
