CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A suspect has been arrested in connection with the theft of parking meters in downtown Clarksville.
Lt. Liane Wilson with the Clarksville Police Department (CPD) recognized the subject in the photos provided, which led to the arrest of Mark Mosley, 43, who admitted to the crime.
According to Officer Natalie Hall, several meters have been ripped out of the sidewalks, particularly on First St., even though there are still cash parking meters on Legion and Third streets.
Mosley brought the meters to a different location, broke them open, and removed the change.
Approximately 28 parking meters have been stolen in the past month.
