Update, 4:40 p.m.: CPD has canceled the request and said the person seen in the video has been identified and may not be the person of interest after all. However, this is still an ongoing investigation, according to Beaubien.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a porch pirate who stole several packages off the front porch of a victim’s home.

On Oct. 31, at approximately 3 p.m., an unidentified Black male was captured on video surveillance camera stealing items off the victim’s porch at Heritage Point Circle, according to CPD spokesman, Scott Beaubien.

The suspect was wearing black pants, a red and white long-sleeve shirt with a red cap and was seen getting into a silver Nissan Altima, said Beaubien.

CPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect, as well as the vehicle.
