CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a person possibly connected to the robbery of a taxi driver.

According to a news release, the robbery occurred Jan. 13 around 12:35 a.m. An employee of Veterans Cab was reportedly robbed after picking up an individual from 30 Concord Dr.

The victim told police that once the suspect entered the back seat of his cab, he stuck a silver semi-automatic handgun between the front seats, demanded all of his money, and told him to hand over the keys to his vehicle.

He gave the suspect his wallet and keys, and the suspect then got out of the taxi and fled the scene on foot. He was not located at the time of the incident.

The suspect is described as a bald black male wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans. He appeared to be in his early twenties.
