Update, 9:35 p.m., Wednesday: The suspect in the photographs has been identified as Arthur Stafford, 48, of Nashville.
The Clarksville Police Department said they would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter and that Stafford now has several warrants for Identity Theft and Fraud.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male who tried to cash a fraudulent check using someone else’s identity.
CPD said he used another person’s identity to cash a fraudulent check at an F&M Bank, 2700 Wilma Rudolph Blvd., on Nov. 21. They also said the man attempted to cash a second check the next day and again on Nov. 23 at two different F&M Banks in Clarksville.
A female, identified as Angela Waites, 53, of Nashville, was with the individual that CPD is attempting to identify. Police said she cashed a forged check as well and have a warrant for her arrest.
