CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Following an investigation Clarksville police have determined that an 18-year-old who claimed to be shot in the face during a drive-by shooting provided a false report to police.

A call to 9-1-1 last month stated a woman was injured in a fall, but when EMS arrived at the residence on Nichols Drive, they found the 18-year-old outside with a gunshot wound to her face. The injury is not life threatening.

Clarksville police said Adriana Drones was accidentally shot by an acquaintance who mishandled a firearm.

Drones was charged with false report and booked into the Montgomery County Jail. Her bond was set at $5,000.
