CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A 14-year-old pedestrian was transported by Lifeflight to Vanderbilt after running into traffic Thursday night.

According to Officer Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department (CPD), the teenager was walking with friends on Barkwood Dr. around 7:48 p.m. with her friends and attempted to cross Trenton Road at the intersection. Her friends advised her not to do so because of the heavy volume of traffic.

The teen struck a 2004 Ford Mustang driven by Kin Segura of Clarksville. Witnesses said the teen darted into traffic and Segura was not speeding. The pedestrian was injured and taken to Vanderbilt. Segura was not cited.
