CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Two men have been arrested in connection to a home invasion that resulted in a shooting at a home on Louise Rd. in Montgomery County.
The home invasion occurred Thursday evening. When deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, they found a victim with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Based on information gathered at the scene, a be-on-the-lookout was issued for Bernard Ray Carver, 48, and a green 1993 GMC Sonoma extended cab pick-up truck pulling a small white single axle enclosed trailer.
Shortly afterward, a Clarksville police officer spotted a green GMC pickup near Hawkins Rd/Cumberland Drive.
Another officer attempted to pull the pickup over at Riverside Drive near Dairy Queen but the truck fled from the traffic stop.
The driver attempted to turn onto Thomas Street from Riverside Drive and went off the road and into a parking lot. Officer John Matos used his patrol car to pin the suspect’s vehicle in place to prevent it from driving away.
