CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department (CPD) will be strictly enforcing the speed limit on Wilma Rudolph Blvd.
According to Officer Natalie Hall, two warning signs have been posted, which read “STRICTLY ENFORCED” and “SPEED LIMIT 45 MPH”. Traffic units in marked patrol vehicles and motorcycles will be present in the area.
Hall said Wilma Rudolph Blvd. is ranked as the #2 roadway for traffic collisions and increased enforcement is expected to reduce the amount of crashes.
CPD will also conduct saturation patrols throughout the city of Clarksville March 14 and 15. Officers will target impaired drivers.
The saturation patrol is being partially funded by the Tennessee Governor’s Highway Safety Office.
