CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police have identified the driver they say hit two pedestrians on Lafayette Road then fled the scene Tuesday.
Warrants have been taken out for 34-year-old Imec Almestica-Tisdale, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Scott Beaubien.

At about 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, two people were walking a dog on Lafayette Road when they were hit by a white Chrysler 300 between Orleans and Darlene Drive, according to previous reports. The driver did not stop and fled the scene.
That night, at about 11:13 p.m., Almestica-Tisdale called 911 and reported that her white Chrysler 300 had been stolen earlier in the day, giving a timeline prior to the crash, Beaubien said.
FACT Investigator Crosby continued the investigation, and evidence determined that the report was false, he said.

Warrants have been taken out on Almestica-Tindale for aggravated assault, duty to give information and render aid, leaving the scene of an accident with injury, no proof of insurance, and false reports. Officers with the Clarksville Police Department are attempting to locate Almestica-Tisdale, anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
Both victims were in stable condition on Thursday, Beaubien said.
This is an ongoing investigation, anyone with information is asked to contact Investigator Crosby at 931-648-0656, ext. 5336.
