CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – A pickup truck struck a car Sunday, Oct. 13, sending one person to the hospital.

According to Officer Natalie Hall with the Clarksville Police Department, Lathen Hogan of Chapmansboro ran a red light on Providence Blvd in his 2003 Dodge Ram when he hit a 2005 Chrysler Sebring driven by Trevor Allen of Fort Campbell. The Sebring was turning left onto Peachers Mill Rd from Providence Blvd and was sent on impact into a 1997 Toyota Tacoma, driven by Roger Sadnick of Clarksville.

Hogan drove his pickup into a guide wire and the Wishy Washy Laundromat sign at the corner of the intersection. After the pickup landed back on all four tires, he exited his vehicle for a brief moment and got back in. Witnesses said he spun his tires in an attempt to flee the scene, and nearly struck two pedestrians that were on scene assisting with the collision. He was stopped by civilians near the crash site. The investigating officer is still in the process of locating witnesses.

The passenger on the Sebring was transported to BACH, and Hogan was taken to Vanderbilt. Hogan sustained a broken neck and possible internal injuries. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Anyone who witnessed the crash can contact Officer Reyes at 931-648-0656.
