CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The man killed in a wreck on Peachers Mill Road Sunday night has been identified as 47-year-old Huey Johnson of Clarksville.
At about 7:50 p.m., two vehicles were “traveling at an excessive speed” on Peachers Mill Road when Johnson’s vehicle left the roadway and crashed into a utility pole near West Allen Griffey Road, according to Clarksville Police spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien.

“The red Ford Fusion that left the scene was a non-contact vehicle that was involved,” Beaubien said. It was initially believed that this was a hit-and-run wreck, but it appears the Fusion was not damaged. The Fusion left the scene, continuing northbound on Peachers Mill.
