OAK GROVE, Ky. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Christian County Sheriff’s Office arrested two men Tuesday after they tried to flee from officers at the Pilot Gas Station off I-24 at exit 89 in Oak Grove.
According to initial reports, officials were there around 3:30 p.m. to arrest a man for outstanding warrants. During the arrest attempt, 32-year-old Brandon L. Huff of Clarksville tried to flee and drove toward an officer. Police said Huff was trying to the officer with the vehicle.
An officer with the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force fired his gun at the oncoming vehicle, which continued to flee the scene.
Officers were able to stop the suspects and arrested them near Oak Grove City Hall, just south of the Pilot Gas Station.
No one was injured in the incident.
Huff was arrested and charged with the following:
-Operating a Motor Vehicle on a Suspended Operators License
-Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
-Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree-Police Officer x 2 counts
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Possession of Burglary Tools
-Trafficking in Controlled Substance (Meth)
The passenger, 34-year-old Dominic Marino of Oak Grove, was also arrested and charged with the following:
-Fleeing or Evading Police 1st Degree (Motor Vehicle)
-Wanton Endangerment-1st Degree-Police Officer x 2 counts
-Possession Of Burglary Tools
-Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (Heroin)
-Trafficking in Controlled Substance (Meth)
-Promoting Contraband
