Police temporarily closed section of Madison St. due to suspicious package

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) Clarksville Police were called to Clarksville Gas and Water on Madison Street Sunday morning following a report of a suspicious package.

A section of Madison Street in front of Gas and Water and Richview Road in front of Gas and Water was closed and traffic diverted for about an hour.

At around 12 noon police determined the package was not dangerous and the road was re-opened.
