Update, 8:10 p.m.: The call to 911 about a person in need on Windhaven Court was unfounded, police said.

“Someone had made a false call to 911 in reference to a possible emotional disturbance,” Lt. Charles Gill said.

“The road has been reopened and the residents in the neighborhood were never in any danger.”

He said there will be an investigation into who made the false call to 911. False report is a felony crime in Tennessee.

Update, 7:55 p.m.: Police are negotiating with the person in the house, Lt. Charles Gill said.

“The Clarksville Police Department is currently negotiating with an individual on Windhaven Court experiencing an emotional disturbance,” Gill said. “In abundance of caution, emergency services units have responded and CPD is requesting that residents who live in the area remain in their homes at this time.

“CPD is also requesting that motorists find alternate routes until further notice.”

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Police have closed off a north Clarksville neighborhood as they try to get a subject to come out of a house.

At 7:35 p.m., police were on Windhaven Court working to get the subject to come out, according to police Lt. Charles Gill.

Neighbors reported on the Clarksville-Montgomery County Crimewatch Facebook group that police were blocking off the Crosswind Subdivision and making everyone go inside their homes.

Windhaven Court is in northeast Clarksville, east of Exit 1, between Trenton Road and the Kentucky state line.
