CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police believe the suspect in a robbery at US Bank Tuesday, July 9 visited a Hopkinsville bank earlier that day.

Though the suspect is still at large and has not been identified, surveillance footage from the US Bank in Hopkinsville shows the same man. Police think he intended to rob the bank because a note similar to the one he handed a teller in Clarksville was found on the premises.

However, the suspect did not rob the US Bank in Hopkinsville and police are unsure why he chose to leave and go to the Clarksville location instead.

The suspect is described as a black male with dreadlocks and a mustache. He is approximately 5’9″ to 6 feet tall and weighs about 150-180 pounds. The suspect was wearing an orange striped shirt and jeans at the time.
