CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department is investigating an alleged rape that occurred at Dunbar Cave State Park as a false report.
According to Officer Natalie Hall, detectives have discovered evidence that the information provided by the victim is not truthful.
The original police report states that a 24-year-old woman told police she was assaulted and raped at Dunbar Cave State Park Aug. 5 around 2:23 a.m. The alleged victim said she was sitting in her car when she was approached by a man who asked for a lighter, who she said then attacked and raped her.
