Update, June 14: Clarksville Police detectives received a tip shortly after the new release was sent out to the public. The suspect has been identified and was arrested Thursday afternoon at approximately 3 p.m.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a burglary at a laundromat in New Providence.

On May 17, at approximately 12:30 p.m., a man was caught on video surveillance burglarizing the New Providence Super Laundromat at 206 Walnut Street, Suite A.

According to CPD spokesman, Scott Beaubien, an unidentified white male entered a section of the business that was not open to the public and stole a bag containing cash from under the cash register. The suspect is described as a balding older white male, wearing a blue shirt and jeans.

The Clarksville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect.
