CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville Police investigated several burglaries and vehicle thefts that occurred in approximately a 3-day period and realized the suspect was a person they’d arrested multiple times.

On May 4-6, 2020, Clarksville Police investigated the crimes that were mainly focused around the Forest Hills Drive and Lowes Drive areas.

After obtaining security/surveillance camera footage, it was clear that they were dealing with an all too familiar individual, according to a news release from Detective Michael Patterson, CPD public information officer.

On May 6th  detectives charged Randy Joe Clark, 43, a convicted felon, with two counts of theft of motor vehicle,  one count of attempted theft of motor vehicle, three counts of vehicle burglary, two  counts of burglary, and one count of attempted burglary.

He is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $216,000 bond.

While being involved in these crimes, Clark was out on bond stemming from several pending cases in Montgomery County Circuit Court.

His criminal activity dates back to 1994.
