CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – With two games remaining in the 2024-25 high school football regular season, here’s the playoff scenarios for every Clarksville-area team.

Fight for the one seed

The Clarksville High Wildcats are the only team in region 7-6A that has secured their spot in the postseason so far. With a region record of 5-0, the Wildcats will look to defeat the Rossview High Hawks this weekend to clinch the region’s highest seed for a second straight year.

However, if Rossview High were to win out, defeating CHS and Kenwood High, the Hawks would then earn the number one overall seed. There is also a scenario where the Hawks could still miss the playoffs completely if they were to lose out.

You’re in, but where?

The Fort Campbell High School football team clinched home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs last weekend after defeating Todd County.

They are currently second in region standings, but their matchup with Owensboro Catholic on Friday will determine the region regular season champion, as well as which team controls the number one overall seed.

Middle of the pack

Kirkwood High, West Creek High and Kenwood High are all currently tied for third place in region 7-6A with each having a record of 3-2. For Kirkwood, the Cobras finish the season going up against both the Knights and Coyotes.

Meanwhile, West Creek plays Dickson County then Kirkwood, and Kenwood plays Kirkwood then the Rossview Hawks. It’s important to note, Dickson County currently has a record of 2-3 in the district. All three Clarksville area teams have a chance to clinch a playoff spot, but losing a game over the next two weeks makes things a little more complicated.

Hoping for some help

The Montgomery Central Indians currently sit in sixth place of region 5-4A. To sneak into the playoffs, Montgomery Central needs to defeat both Station Camp and Greenbrier, while having Station Camp lose to Whites Creek as well.

Have some fun, upset the favorite.

Clarksville Academy is currently eliminated from the playoffs in Division II-A; however, they have two games left against division opponents and could end their season on a high note by pulling off an upset or two.

The same goes for Northwest High and Northeast High. They’ve both been eliminated from playoff contention in region 7-6A, but each team can potentially cause some havoc with the Eagles scheduled to play Clarksville High, and the Vikings set to play Dickson County during the last week of the season.
