NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A plane traveling from Dallas to Nashville was stuck on the tarmac at Nashville International Airport for three hours Sunday after a passenger on the plane became ill.
WKRN News 2 reports that the plane landed around 11:30 p.m. after crews reported a sick person on board. Based on the person’s symptoms, the Department of Public Safety and Metro’s health department decided to initiate communicable diseases protocol.
The passengers and crew waited while the sick person was removed from the plane and taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center for treatment.
Health officials confirmed the patient does not have Ebola.
