CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A pickup truck crashed into a salon on Madison Street Friday morning.
According to Clarksville police, the crash occurred at 10:23 a.m. at The Edge Salon.
Police said Brandon Porter, 38, was traveling west on Madison Street and accelerated when the traffic light changed from red to green, causing the pickup to spin in a circular manner on the roadway. This was witnessed by an officer who activated his emergency equipment to conduct a traffic stop.
The driver turned left onto Willow Heights and for an unknown, possibly medically related reason, lost control of the vehicle. He crashed into a parked SUV and then into the side of The Edge Salon building at 1490 Madison Street.

There were several patrons inside the building, but no one was injured.
The business has already initiated repairs and hopes to be back in operation by Monday.
Porter was cited for reckless driving and no insurance.
