CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The 501st Garrison, Star Wars costuming group, were at Governors Square Mall Saturday for the Father’s Day Meet & Greet. The costumed characters posed for photos with donations being accepted for Dreams and Wishes of Tennessee. Michael Richardson with the 501st said along with Dreams and Wishes, they support many charity organizations across the region with a goal to bring cheer to children of all ages.

Richardson added the the 501st Garrison is the dark side of the Star Wars costuming realm, but members of the Star Wars Rebel Legion, who Richardson called the good guys, were also participating in the Dreams and Wishes event.

Tanya Sturm, Program Director for Dreams and Wishes talked about the organization. We grant wishes to kids that have relapsed from cancer and to young adults with a new cancer diagnosis,” said Sturm. This is the 6th year they have worked with the Star Wars costumed characters on the fundraising event.
