CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Association of Realtors (CAR) held its annual FUEL fundraiser, Appetite For Art, on Saturday, April 13, at The Ruby Cora in Adams.

Artwork depicting ‘What healthy eating looks like,’ was submitted from local students by age-group with winners being awarded funds to support school arts programs.

The winning artworks were submitted  by Harmony Shields, 1st Grade at Pisgah Elementary, Kaylee Scott, 4th Grade at Pisgah Elementary and Ava Bellar, 7th Grade at Montgomery Central Middle School.

The event featured a live auction of children’s artwork with all proceeds benefitting the association SOS Foundation and FUEL, which provides food and snacks to local school whose only food source may be the meals they are receiving at school.

Individually wrapped items are discreetly made available to the qualifying students each Friday.

The program is funded solely through donations and local fundraising efforts and operated through local churches and civic organizations.

Hosted by Q108’s Ryan and Gretchen in the Morning with music provided by The Jeremy Holt Band.

The total amount raised was still being added up at time of publication, but a CAR representative told Clarksvillenow.com, the amount raised will easily provide for hundreds of hungry students.
