FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) It was a happy reunion Saturday at Fort Campbell as 134 soldiers serving with Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion and Sustainment Brigade of the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) returned after a nine-month deployment to Afghanistan.
The Acting Senior Commander of the 101st, Brigadier General Todd Royar, welcomed the soldiers home. “They answered the nations call, they made the mission happen, their accomplishments were many but our pride in them is unending. They wear the Screaming Eagle patch with pride and they have added to the legacy of this great division,” Royar said.
