CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Over 200 people attended the 21st Annual “On Wings of Love” Wednesday at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library. The memorial ceremony, organized by the 19th Judicial District Attorney General’s office, remembers victims of homicide.
Family members and friends who have lost loved ones to violence placed ornaments, most of them they made themselves, on a Christmas Tree inside the library. Each person or family stepped up and announced who the ornament was in memory of.
Volunteers and law enforcement personnel from the Clarksville Police Department and Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office also placed ornaments on the tree. Guest speaker at the event was Detective Michael Ulrey with the Clarksville Police Department.
