CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (ESPN CLARKSVILLE) – The Northwest Vikings hosted the 2nd Annual Viking Strong 7 on 7 and Big Man Challenge on Tuesday, July 19.

Twelve teams were in the 7 on 7 tournament, including Northwest, Kenwood, Sycamore, Whites Creek, Stratford, Rossview, McKracken County, Harpeth, Mount Juliet, Northeast, Fort Campbell and West Creek. Five fields were used and all teams played several pools games to rank them in a bracket. The grandstands and sidelines were filled with family and friends to cheer on their teams.

The Big Man Challenge was for the lineman to test their strength, endurance and team work. The Marine recruiters were there to assist the players through numerous events to include the bench press, farmers carry relay, tire flip, pro agility, sled push and Marine recruiter obstacle course.

The Northwest Vikings won the Big Man Challenge.

There were some close games in bracket play in the 7 on 7 tournament. The championship game was between the Northeast Eagles and Rossview Hawks.

The Eagles won the 2nd Annual 7 on 7 tournament with a score 11-7 sealing their victory over the Hawks with a last second interception.
