CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Police Department, along with many other Clarksville-Montgomery County public services, came together to host National Night Out at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center Tuesday, August 6.
Emergency service vehicles were on display for families to see up close, including police cruisers, fire engines and an ambulance. Local non-profits, including YAI Paks and Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County were also on hand to speak with people about opportunities they offer. Mission BBQ supplied sandwiches for the event.
National Night Out is an annual event designed to foster good relations between law enforcement and the community by bringing the two together for an enjoyable afternoon of activities and discussion.
