CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Kiwanis Club of Clarksville hosted a very special Christmas party Tuesday for 144 children at Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Action Agency Head Start on Lafayette Road.

The party is an annual holiday event for the club. Each child received a bag filled with Christmas gifts and of course all the youngsters enjoyed a visit from Santa Claus. Along with the visit from Santa, Kendra Skidmore, the Kentucky-Tennessee District Governor of Kiwanis International from Cynthiana, Kentucky was traveling in the area and stopped by the party.

“It’s very heartwarming because this is what the spirit of a Kiwanian is all about. To see it in action, where these kids are going to be impacted by the support from the community year after year, is a great reminder not just to the community but to all Kiwanians,” said Skidmore.
