CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville Association for Down Syndrome (CADS) held its Kickin’ It With CADS Saturday night at the Crow Community Center. Dozens of special needs teens and adults, along with family, friends and volunteers enjoyed an evening of fun.

There were games, refreshments basketball, pool, foosball, cornhole, and dancing with music provided by Scott Chase from Q-108.

Vicki Hildreth, a member of the CADS board of directors, talked about the evening. “It’s our first event to reach out to the older population, high school and up. It’s just a social get together for them. There’s a lot of things to do with the smaller children but we didn’t have a lot to do for the older population,” said Hildreth.

Hildreth added it was the organizations goal to reach out to some of them and give them a night and said CADS would like to do a similar event once a month.

Hildreth’s daughter Katie said she was having a great time and says she hopes they will do Kickin’ It With Cads again.
