FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Independence Week Carnival kicked-off Tuesday at the Division Parade Field on Fort Campbell. The event runs through Saturday and is open to the public.
Non-Military ID card holders will need to enter post thru Gates 4 or 7 and be prepared with vehicle registration, proof of insurance, and a valid photo ID for each person in the vehicle age 16 and over. No personal fireworks, firearms, outside alcohol, glass bottles or pets are allowed and all vehicles entering post are subject to be searched.
The Carnival is open Wednesday, 5-10 p.m., Thursday, 1 p.m.-midnight, Friday, 5 p.m.-midnight and Saturday, 1 p.m.-midnight. On Thursday the July 4, the carnival opens at 1 p.m., musical performances will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until the fireworks at 9:30 p.m.
